Eva
R. Porras Gonzalez, BA, MSA, Ph.D

Dr.
Porras earned her Masters of Science in Administration degree from
Central Michigan University graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and
in 1999 received her doctorate in Finance from Florida Atlantic
University. Dr. Porras has thirteen years of experience working
for multinational corporations including Ring Power Corp (Caterpillar),
CBS/FOX Video Corp and Citibank. During the last eight years she
has combined teaching and research at the University level with
executive education and consulting. Currently she is the Director
of the Master in Finance and Control program at the Instituto de
Empresa in Madrid, Spain. Although her lectures cover a wide range
of financial issues, her main fields of expertise and research are
corporate finance and financial markets. Dr. Porras’s research
projects have included the cost of capital, the effect of changes
in the exchange rate on financial markets, fundamentals versus contagion
variables in financial markets, financial asset bubbles, contagion
and the transmission of crises among international financial markets.
She is in the process of writing two books, “A History of
Finance” and “Cost of Capital”.
